  • The Elder Geek on Windows Vista
     The goal of The Elder Geek is to provide useful information about Windows XP. What constitutes ‘useful’ is subjective. Only you can judge it’s value. Feedback is encouraged.

  • PC Stats is an really good site. Like "the Elder Geek" it offers tutorials, hardware reviews, and much more. The "Slipstream SP2" tutorial is excellent as is "how do I burn CD's" and 101 performance tips. Its a really excellent site and a "must visit" for anyone interested in XP.

  • Tweak Hound offers a huge selection of tips and tweaks all on Windows XP. The correct way to  Install XP articles is especially good.

  • Windows XP Pro resource kit is a Microsoft on-line publication to ensure the trouble free installation of Windows XP
  • XP Quick Keys is another great reference from Microsoft giving all the key shortcuts for XP

• offers superb help for XP. There is a brilliant article on downloading network versions of SP1 onto your hard disk, and on slipstreaming the installation. This is a fabulous site with an e-mail newsletter that is well worth subscribing to. Learn it first at Windows-Help net.

• Doug Knox's tweaks and Tips. Windows XP, ME, 98 tips and help. Some of the Tweaks are present in more than one page, if they apply to more than one category. A very expertly written site offering loads of help.

• Ed Botts free Windows XP Tips This is the complete collection of tips that originally appeared on the Focus on Windows site at About.com. Ed has been updating these tips, adding some much-needed information about Windows XP. He has also changed the navigation structure to make it easier to move around on the site. Finally, he's added some feature articles (adapted from material he originally wrote for About.com and the now-defunct Tech-Sanity) to this site.
